SHADY OAK ROAD

Hennepin County, in partnership with the cities of Hopkins and Minnetonka, has planned to reconstruct the in-place roadway to improve traffic flow and provide redevelopment opportunities that will benefit both cities.
 
For the July 2010 completion date, this nearly two-mile project area will have seen the reconstruction of an existing roadway, two bridges increased from two to four lanes to accommodate vehicle traffic and pedestrians, construction of 14 poured-in-place concrete retaining walls and site preparation for a future bicycle trail system.
