As the Twin Cities metro area expansion brings more residential, commercial, and industrial infrastructure, the need for more access to the state’s highway systems increases as well. A prime location for more access to Interstate 94, and other local roadways, the Dayton Parkway Interchange provides the very access needed for motorists, as well as increased potential expansion for other economic sectors as well.

This award-winning, diverging diamond overpass connects Hennepin County roads CSAH 101 and CSAH 81 near the city of Dayton, between Maple Grove and Rogers, while adding new ramp access to Interstate 94 in both directions. Along with the new overpass, a new trail system was constructed with many new landscaping beautification amenities, including 4 new boulder walls, thousands of native plantings and trees, roadway lighting, and trail lighting along the bridge. C. S. McCrossan also moved almost 800,000 cy of grading and granular material, installed over 9,000 lineal feet of storm sewer, and placed 18,000 tons of bituminous pavement. The construction of this project helps to alleviate some of the traffic levels at nearby connections in a heavily expanding area of the state. This project was completed in 2022.
